Six ME12WA multipurpose self-amplifiers are being used as a surround system in all performances of Antigone, which premiered on August 11 and closes on the 28th. There are 17 days of performances, plus almost 10 days of dress rehearsals. The cabs remained outdoors on the hot pavement of the theater for virtually the entire month of August, covered only by a tarp when not in use. Temperatures reached over 104F degrees on many days and performances began at 11 o’ clock in the evening so that the theater would be bearable. Also, during rehearsals there were some particularly cold nights. This show truly provided a ‘trial by fire’ for our equipment. Milan Acoustic is in charge of the technical production of Antigone and Mariano Garcia is responsible for sound design and requested the 6 ME10WA cabs.
